Steam Roller Printing Festival at OCAD University
Butterfield Park: October 22, 10am -5pm
Large-scale images provided by artists: Alexei Vella, Amanda Nedham, Cathy Daley, Christopher Hutsul, Cybèle Young, Jeannie Thib, Julie Voyce, Lauren Nurse, Libby Hague, Luke Painter, and MORE! Co-ordination in the production and printing of each image by 4th-year printmaking students along with the help of other keen printmakers. Come take part in the festival and watch the printing of over 12 large-scale images with a steam roller!
Lauren Moore and I are screenprinting part of Lauren Nurse 's image (below) onto a 4' x 4' (approx.) piece of linoleum. Assisting us carve out this large-scale image is Melissa Cormier, Flora Shum, and the artist herself. We have lots of carving ahead of us. I'll be posting up more photos as the project progresses.
